Box Score FREDERICK, Md. – A trio of Blazer goals in a big first half overpower the Green Terror as Hood defeats McDaniel 3-0 on Wednesday night.

Emma Massey (Felton, Del./Lake Forest) and Morgan Hackett (Hampstead, Md./Hereford) led Hood in shots with three and both put a goal up.
 
Richana Brown (Dover, Del./Dover), Grace Guy (St. Mary's County, Md./Chopticon) and Kindal Davis (Suffolk, Va./Lakeland) provided a joint effort at the cage with a save a piece.
 
 
How it Happened
 
Late in the first Bianca Scally (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks) weaved through two defenders at the top of the box and found Hackett on the far side just outside the goal to tap in the 1-0 beauty.
 
Early in the second, Emma Numme (Shrub Oak, NY/Lakeland) was patience as she waited Massey to break towards the goal. An opponent defender overshot the pass which left Massey wide open to lift a shot into goal to go up by two scores.
 
The final score came after a penalty corner where Butler found Madeline Moreno (Mansfield, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) for a wrap around goal past the goalkeeper far out of the cage.

 
Analysis
 
Hood took 10 to McDaniel's five penalty corners.
 
Hood scored three goals on nine shots in the first half, then seven shots without a goal in the second.

The 2-0 start is a first since the 2014 campaign and the win is the first against McDaniel in regulation in their matchup history.
