Darnell Edmonds graduated from Hood College in 2007 with a bachelor of arts degree in communication arts with a concentration in marketing. The point guard of the Blazers' Capital Athletic Conference Championship team in 2006-07, he is the school's career record holder in assists (454) and steals (255). He has over 100 more assists than his closest competitor and 85 more steals than the second place total.

Edmonds has the top three single season assist totals in school history; and he is the only player in the Blazer to dish out over 100 in a season more than once, reaching the plateau in each of his four seasons. His 120 assists in 2004-05 are the school benchmark, as are his 79 steals the previous year. Edmonds has the top two season steal totals at Hood and all four of his seasons rank in the top six.

With four games of at least 10 assists, including a school record 12 in 2004-05 against Philadelphia Bible, he is the only player to reach double figures more than once in Blazer history. Edmonds had the top two steal totals at Hood during the 2006-07 run to the CAC Championship and NCAA Tournament. He set the school record with seven against Gallaudet early in the year, then swiped the rock nine times against Messiah in early January. During that season, Hood set the school record with 21 victories.

He and classmate Sean Robine were the first Hood College players to reach 100 career games played and Edmonds' 98 career starts stood as a school record for seven years.
