 Nancy graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in English in 1971. During her time at Hood, Nancy was a board member of the Recreation Association (1970) and served as associate editor of Hood’s yearbook, “Touchstone” (1971). A breaststroke specialist, Nancy held the school records in the 50 and 100-yard breaststroke events for many years and swam on multiple winning relays team with Susie and Peggy. One of the momentous highlights of this swim team relay was when they beat out the swim teams of the University of Maryland and Marymount by 0.10 seconds. She swam the 50 breaststroke and on both the 200 freestyle and medley relay teams at the Woman’s Intercollegiate National Swimming Championship at Illinois State University.
