Molly graduated with a bachelor’s degree in French. While at Hood, she participated in field hockey, basketball, softball, riding and tennis. She served as president of the Athletic Association, was on the executive committee throughout her college years and represented Hood at the National Conference of the Athletic Federation of College Women in Ann Arbor, Mich., in 1950. She was selected to Mortar Board her senior year. After college, Molly pursued a career in the Foreign Service, serving in the American Embassy in Paris in the 1950s. In Washington, she was an assistant to several senators and congressmen and was a staff assistant on the Iran Contra investigation in 1987. Molly is married to Andrew Tully, nationally syndicated columnist and author, and has two sons, Mark and John.
